Pontiac Gto American fav Muscle
Owner Bill Bolin tells HPP, "I like my 1970 GTO because it stands out in a crowd of other Pontiacs and Pro Street cars." This is possibly the understatement of the year. With two blowers stacked one on top of the other, huge-by-large rear meats, and a hallucination-inducing hue, this GTO attracts curiosity seekers like children to an ice cream truck. The buzz on the Internet was intense before the Pontiac was even complete.
Bill and his wife, Christine, aren't strangers to Pro Street Pontiacs, having built a '68 Firebird from 2001 to 2003. In fact, it was while searching for parts for his Firebird that he found the GTO on an online auction four years ago. "It was originally built into a Pro Street car from 1987 to 1989," the resident of Shady Side, Maryland, recalls. "The previous owner drove it until 1991 and then parked it in a barn for 12 years, which took its toll."

The Pontiac Firebird That Could Have Been
Michigan-based Exodus Films unveiled the hero-ride for their upcoming sci-fi flick, Jinn. It's "The Firebreather," a stylized take on what a new Pontiac Firebird might've been. Look familiar? It should. Better news? They're building 50 of them for public purchase. The car was designed by the film's writer and director and Art Center grad AJ Ahmad, who wanted to tie the developing Michigan film industry to the state's history. The Firebreather will be the hero car in the movie, driven by the film's star Ray Park (aka Darth Maul) who was on hand for the unveiling.
The car, built by Classic Design Concepts for the film, takes a new Camaro and gives it an all-new, and very handsomely-styled front end, an entirely new tail end with a new spoiler, new hood, some slick custom wheels, the Eibach Pro-Plus performance handling package a embroidered seats.
Here's the best part — for Firebird fans who want something a little different, fifty numbered copies of The Firebreather are on sale as of right now with a starting price of $60,000.

First Look: Ford’s New 2010 Mustang
For starters, let me say the wait is officially over. Returning once again for 2010, the Ford Mustang is more powerful, features a revised interior and exterior, and is available with options such as a backup camera, voice activated navigation, and 19-inch wheels. In a press statement, Paul Randle, Mustang chief engineer said, "The new Mustang marks new levels of both power and refinement. We've designed and engineered this to be the next classic Mustang that everyone talks about for years and years." One thing's for certain. Enthusiasts everywhere have been eagerly awaiting the reveal of the 2010 Mustang. And now the wait has come to an end.
For starters, two engines will be available for the Mustang: A 4.0L V-6 and a 4.6L V-8.
•4.0L V-6: 210 hp and 240 lbs.-ft. of torque
•4.6L V-8: 315 hp and 325 lbs.-ft of torque
Of note, the V-8 engine will get a boost of 15 horsepower, bringing its numbers to 315 hp and 325 lbs.-ft of torque. How so? Well, the engineers at Ford have equipped the new base 2010 GT Mustang with an air-induction system pioneered on Ford's extensive racing programs. This true ram-air system delivers a colder, denser intake charge to the cylinders resulting in increased horsepower and torque. Randal said, "That means more horsepower and more torque in all driving conditions." Ford also increased the redline of the V-8 Mustang to 6,500 rpm.
The 4.0L V-6 Mustang will return once again with its 210 hp and 240 lbs.-ft. of torque.
Best of all, both engines will be able to run on regular unleaded just fine. According to powertrain supervisor Chris Roxin, "The 2010 Mustang runs great on regular fuel, and that is where we quote our peak numbers, but we also have a great dual-adaptive knock calibration that allows the 2010 Mustang to run on regular fuel as well as premium fuel, and the system figures it out itself." He added that premium fuel can improve the torque of the engine in the low- to mid-rpm range.
The 2010 Mustang will also feature a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Of note, both the V-6 and the V-8 Mustangs will feature larger exhaust tips in the rear. In all, the tips increase from 3-inches to 3 ½ inches in length.
