2010 Dodge Charger

From the 6.1-liter SRT® HEMI® V8 powerhouse to the capable 2.7-liter DOHC V6, Charger’s engine lineup is the very essence of performance. With each delivering substantial horsepower and torque, not to mention fuel efficiency, all the bases are covered.

Each capable engine is married to an equally capable transmission. Take your pick from the:

•Smooth-shifting four-speed automatic is paired with the 2.7L and 3.5L engines.
•Versatile five-speed AutoStick® is paired to the 5.7L and 6.1L engines, which allows you to switch from automatic gear selection to manual operation with one simple move of the gearshift.

2010 Dodge Challenger

Powerful. Practical. Efficient. Challenger's versatile engine lineup doesn't just uphold its legendary performance reputation — it takes it to an entirely new level.

The 6.1-liter SRT® HEMI® V8 is the highest naturally aspirated specific-output engine ever offered in a Challenger. It features:

•Performance-oriented camshaft profiles
•Aggressively designed cylinder heads and intake and exhaust systems to help maximize airflow and increase engine speed
The 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 available with Multi-Displacement System (MDS) delivers:

•Variable Cam Timing, bringing more power and optimal performance
•Greater efficiency when equipped with MDS
•Dual ignition (two spark plugs per cylinder) to increase peak power and torque
•With the 5.7-liter HEMI®[null], Challenger R/T has 57 more horsepower and gets better highway fuel economy than Mustang GT[1]
The 3.5-liter High-Output SOHC V6 engine offers:

•Consistent speed and reduced emissions with a dual-tuned intake manifold and a sophisticated electronic throttle control system
•Tailored pedal-movement response based on operating conditions
•Even with a smaller V6 engine, Challenger SE has a 40-horsepower advantage over Mustang V6[

The 2011 Mustang raises the bar

Strong and athletic engines have always been a big part of the Mustang story. And with the muscle you can find under the hood of the 2011 Mustang V6, Ford isn’t just adding a new chapter; it’s raising the bar on V6 power. So tell everyone in the fast lane that this new pony is hitting the street with a combination of performance and fuel economy that cannot be beat.

It all starts with the innovative Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (TiVCT) technology that efficiently delivers power to this pony. The all-new 3.7-liter V6 turns out 305–HP with 280 lbs.–ft. torque using four valves per cylinder and TiVCT. And when all this power is projected to get 30 mpg hwy,* you know the 2011 Mustang V6 is destined to change the game.

To crank out 305 hp with 30 mpg hwy,* and deliver the truly one-of-a-kind feeling of a Mustang, the TiVCT V6 engine makes the most of its transfer of power from air, fuel and exhaust. And let’s face it; Mustang wouldn’t be America’s sports car if it didn’t know how to harness power.

When all is said and done, this big new thinking comes together to produce numbers that will have everybody talking about the 2011 Mustang.

† With six-speed automatic transmission. Ford preliminary data. Pending EPA certification. Versus 2009/2010

Dodge challenger for nascar

Dodge Motorsports today revealed the Dodge Challenger as the “New Car” for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and announced an expansion of its partnership with Penske Racing beginning in 2010. Dodge will provide support for Penske Racing’s two-car operation in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, in addition to Penske’s three teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

As the performance brand of our new company, we are excited to expand our relationship with Penske Racing and introduce the iconic Dodge Challenger as our entry into the NASCAR Nationwide Series,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO, Dodge Car Brand. “Motorsports are a significant part of the Dodge brand’s legacy. Penske Racing has such a rich tradition in motorsports, and our partnership in the Nationwide Series will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the Challenger and offer our loyal Dodge enthusiasts plenty of excitement in this very competitive series next year.”

Penske Racing will field two teams, both running the full-season schedule. The Dodge Challenger will be used at the four “New Car” races NASCAR has designated, starting at Daytona in July. At the other 31 events that complete the 35-race season, Penske Racing will field Dodge Chargers as it did this season with the No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger driven by Justin Allgaier. NASCAR is expecting full integration of the “New Car” in 2011.

Dodge Charger Concept

What if Dodge had made the Charger a two door? What if they had used more cues from days gone by? What if they had used state of the art LED lighting? Well I like to think this might be what they'd have made.Well it could have been a hit among all kind of people rather then cops

1969 Dodge Charger (Dukes of hazzard)

Remember the movie Dukes of hazzard.Sure we do!Well thats one of the movie that made our Dodge charger famous in that time. Not just that it is still popular today.Movie was a hit and thecar was a hi.Correct me if I'm wrong, but the South lost. Secession never succeeded. Lincoln united our country in a way that no president has done since (and heaven knows we need right now).

So, how is this an issue for a presidential campaign? Sure, there are those in the south (and in South Carolina) who would like to see the Confederate flag in more public places than simply on top of an orange 1969 Dodge Charger - but how is this a federal issue?

Simple: it's not. It's a state's issue.

Move on people. Nothing to see here.

2005 Chevy Corvette worst accident

Well here we see some of the worst crashes in chevy corvette history. Not because it has bad handeling its because some people can't take so much of that raw power. No problem.Still you canals get unlucky while driving. One thing i will like to say is drive safe.If you are driving a fast car doesn't mean u can drive it fast or try to fly it away. You will still have to stop at signals. So you are not going to get any medal for speeding.Only medal you will be getting is a ticket or if you are unlucky enough you will lose you life.BE SAFE OUT THERE guys

Corvette ZR1 Certified 638 Horsepower

Top speed of more than 200 m.p.h. with supercharged LS9 V8

Canwest News Service

PONTIAC, Mich. – When it was introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this year, the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1’s power was estimated at 100 horsepower for each of its 6.2 liters of displacement.

Now, GM Powertrain has completed SAE certification of the ZR1’s supercharged LS9 V-8, and the results exceed the estimate: 638 horsepower (476 kW) and 604 lb.-ft. of torque (819 Nm). The LS9’s output is nearly 103 horses per liter, or just about 1.7 horses for each of the engine’s 376 cubic inches. It is the most powerful automotive production engine ever manufactured by General Motors and enables the Corvette ZR1 to achieve a top speed of more than 200 mph (322 km/h).

One of the most amazing things about the Corvette ZR1 is the level of refinement that our designers and engineers have attained. Even with all that power, this car has road manners that will allow our customers to enjoy it on the streets as a daily driver, and on the track,” said Chevrolet General Manager Ed Peper.

Firebird or GTO

2010 sees the return of the Pontiac: Will it be GTO or Firebird?
Many of you would already have heard about the return of the Chevy Camaro, and that seems to be getting other car makers juices going into pushes out some old favorites. One of these favorites is the Pontiac, although they have tried to bring this car out before it failed to warm the hearts of the Americans, unlike the much welcomed Ford Mustang.

It is hoped that a new Pontiac will hit the streets in 2010 but one question remains, and that is what they would badge the automobile under. They could call it a Firebird, or maybe they could call it a GTO.
The future sports coupe is expected to have a choice of two engines, one would be a 3.6-liter DOHC V-6 which pushes out 261-hp, but another could be a 6.0-liter V8 option. The new Pontiac is expected to have a choice of either a five or six-speed automatic gearbox.

Corvette stingray concept

The Corvette Stingray was the first car I ever saw a picture of and understood that someone had actually designed it with passion. [In fact it was more than one person: Larry Shinoda and Bill Mitchell, inspired by Peter Brock and Chuck Pohlmann.

2009 Chevrolet Corvette – Louisville

This is the biggest and baddest Chevrolet Corvette ever. With a whopping 650 horsepower engine, churning a V-8 this car is made for speed. Not a car you feel like parking in the garage this car is dying to jet across the road and show you how good a Corvette can really be. As one of America’s favorite muscle cars the Corvette has performed well over the years and leaves people craving more.

Pimped out GTO

The Pontiac GTO wallpapers here reflect that this was considered the first true muscle car. Some disagree as the Corvette was popular years before this car. The Pontiac GTO was made for only ten years from 1964 to 1974 and then was stopped.
