Do you-- or did you-- own a 1969 or 1970 Ford Mustang Mach One?
(these cars were nearly identical in design and engineering specs, with over 99% interchangeable parts)
I bet you didn't know the much touted Shelby GT-350s of the same years were basically just hot-rodded Mach Ones with some lighter weight fiberglass body parts and a roll bar. The Boss 302 and 429 versions of this model didn't get roll bars or fancy fiberglass fenders, but some additional suspension tweaks and honest-to-God race car motors dropped in them, instead.
But they were all essentially modified Mach Ones.
